Jim Holt’s writing has appeared in The New Yorker, The New York Review of Books, and The New York Times Book Review. He is the author of When Einstein Walked with Gödel: Excursions to the Edge of Thought, Why Does the World Exist?: An Existential Detective Story, and Stop Me If You’ve Heard This: A History and Philosophy of Jokes.
