It seems tragic to think about reading a magazine with more than two hundred pages of impressions, treatises, and facts about music without listening to any. So we created a Spotify playlist to accompany our Fall 2017 issue, a musical tour through history that lasts nearly seven hours and covers everything from ancient bops from 960 to Pussy Riot. After you finish the issue, feel free to use the collection for a dinner party instead; if nothing else, a playlist that boomerangs from Chopin to Skrillex is sure to be a conversation starter.

Playlist created by Hadley Stack.
