A.R. Luria

A.R. Luria

(1902 - 1977)

A founder of neuropsychology, A.R. Luria, based in Moscow for much of his life, is best known for his 1962 work Higher Cortical Functions in Man. He studied soldiers with brain injuries during World War II and wrote about the famous mnemonist Solomon Shereshevsky, twins, and the impact of education on the brain.
