James Melville

(1535 - 1617)

James Melville wrote Memoirs of My Own Life, which detailed his time as a page for Mary, Queen of Scots; his getting wounded and being taken prisoner at the Battle of St. Quentin; his time as a diplomat for Henry II; and his efforts to repair the relationship between Queen Elizabeth and Mary.
