Dave Tomar

Writing under the pseudonym Ed Dante, Dave Tomar published his essay “The Shadow Scholar” in The Chronicle Review in 2010, which described his life as an academic ghostwriter. A Rutgers graduate, Tomar said he discovered his vocation of penning other people’s work while in college: “It turned out that my lazy, Xanax-snorting, Miller-swilling classmates were thrilled to pay me to write their papers.”
