Jason Goodwin is a novelist, a historian, a traveler, and the author of Lords of the Horizon: A History of the Ottoman Empire, as well as the Investigator Yashim series of mystery novels set in nineteenth-century Istanbul. The most recent, The Baklava Club, was published in 2014.
