Jeremy Eichler

An award-winning critic and cultural historian, Jeremy Eichler served for 18 years as chief classical music critic of The Boston Globe and now teaches at Tufts University. Time’s Echo, his first book, was chosen as a notable book of 2023 by The New York Times, The New Yorker, and NPR and named “History Book of the Year” by The Sunday Times and “the outstanding music book of this and several years” by the Times Literary Supplement. In 2024–25, he served as the first Writer-in-Residence of the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
