Jon Wiener

Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, Jon Wiener now lives in Los Angeles and is an emeritus professor of U.S. history at the University of California, Irvine. His journalism career began when he started writing for an underground newspaper, The Old Mole, at Harvard. He fought the FBI for decades to get John Lennon’s file released; after the battle ended, he wrote a book on the saga titled Gimme Some Truth: The John Lennon FBI Files.
