Norimitsu Onishi

Born in Japan and raised in Montreal, Norimitsu Onishi became a foreign correspondent for the New York Times in 1998, eventually serving as the paper’s bureau chief in Johannesburg, Jakarta, Tokyo, and Abidjan. He became the newspaper’s Paris correspondent in 2019.
