Hakeem Olajuwon

Soon after taking up the game of basketball, Hakeem Olajuwon at the age of seventeen led the Nigerian national team to third place at the 1979 All-African tournament. During his tenure as the center for the Houston Rockets, the team won back-to-back NBA titles in the mid-1990s. He retired in 2002.
