Thomas Nagel

Born into a Jewish family in Belgrade in 1937, Thomas Nagel studied at Cornell, Oxford, and then Harvard, where he completed his PhD in philosophy under the supervision of John Rawls. Nagel is University Professor of Philosophy and Law, emeritus, at New York University.
