Nathaniel Mackey

Nathaniel Mackey is a poet and the editor of Hambone, an irregularly published literary magazine. He first conceived of From a Broken Bottle Traces of Perfume Still Emanate, an ongoing novel, in 1977 and has published five volumes of it to date. The recipient of a National Book Award for Splay Anthem, he is the Reynolds Price Professor of Creative Writing at Duke University and a chancellor of the Academy of American Poets.
