Frank Harris

(1856 - 1931)

Born in Ireland, Frank Harris was sent to Ruabon Grammar School in Wales at the age of twelve and soon ran away to America. He returned to the United Kingdom in 1882. His autobiography My Life and Loves, generally considered to be highly unreliable, was privately printed from 1922 to 1927 and was banned in both the U.S. and England. Grove Press printed an unexpurgated version in 1963.
