Okado Denpachiro

Okado Denpachiro served as deputy inspector to the shogunate during the revenge of the forty-seven rōnin, also known as the Akō incident. A classic play based on the incident, the Chūshingura (or “Treasury of Loyal Retainers”), has been made into a movie at least six times.
