Nicholas Carr

Nicholas Carr writes about technology and culture. His most recent book, The Shallows: What the Internet Is Doing to Our Brains, was a 2011 Pulitzer Prize finalist and a New York Times bestseller. Carr is also the author of The Big Switch: Rewiring the World, from Edison to Google (2008) and Does IT Matter? (2004), and he has been a columnist for the Guardian in London and has written for the Atlantic, the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Wired, the New Republic, MIT Technology Review, Nature, and other periodicals.
