Burt Bacharach and Hal David composed the score for Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, receiving an Oscar for their efforts in 1969. Their pop compositions were popularized in the sixties and seventies by, among others, Dionne Warwick, The Carpenters, Tom Jones, and Dusty Springfield.
