Elizabeth Kolbert

Since 1999 Elizabeth Kolbert has been a staff writer for The New Yorker. For the past decade, she has focused on writing about the effects of global warming. “It may seem impossible to imagine that a technologically advanced society could choose, in essence, to destroy itself,” Kolbert writes, “but that is what we are now in the process of doing.”
