John Maynard Keynes

(1883 - 1946)

John Maynard Keynes was a British delegate to the 1919 conference at Versailles settling the score of World War I. That same year, he published his famous treatise The Economic Consequences of the Peace, in which he foresaw the folly of forcing Germany to pay an unpayable debt.
